Easy Caribbean Salmon Recipe

This Caribbean salmon recipe is juicy, tasty, and so easy to make. The Caribbean flavors are easily infused into the salmon using my green seasoning recipe and lemon juice. Oven-baked, broiler, and air fryer instructions provided. Equally delicious. So easy!

Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz fresh salmon or thawed frozen salmon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Trinidad Green Seasoning
  • cooking spray
  • 1/2 fresh lemon

Instructions
 

Preparing Salmon

  • Once salmon is thawed, massage 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper into the salmon.
  • Place in ziplocked bag.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of Trinidad Green Seasoning to ziplocked bag and shake to cover all of salmon.
  • Marinade for 2-6 hrs.

Oven-Baked Salmon Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Spray baking sheet generously with cooking spray of choice or olive oil.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder to salmon and massage.
  • Squeeze half of a fresh lemon and add used lemon to the baking sheet to bake with salmon.
  • Bake without a cover for 20 minutes.
  • Squeeze lemon once more over salmon.
  • Add remaining 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt (optional)
  • Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Broiled Salmon Instructions (8oz - 14oz portion)

  • Set the broiler on high with the rack about 8-10 inches from the top.
  • Lightly spray cooking pan and top and bottom of salmon with cooking spray.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder to salmon and massage.
  • Squeeze half of a fresh lemon all over the salmon
  • Broil 9 minutes for medium. 12 minutes for medium-well. 15 minutes for well-done or blackened salmon recipe.
  • Add remaining 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt (optional)

Air fryer Salmon Instructions (8 oz portion)

  • Set the air fryer to 390 degrees F.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. I make my own cooking spray using an Evo spray bottle as pre-made ones tend to ruin the basket. These work great for all cooking needs.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder to salmon and massage.
  • Squeeze half of a fresh lemon all over the salmon
  • Lightly spray the top and bottom of salmon with the cooking spray.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  • Add remaining 1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt (optional)
